Akshai

Akshai, 19, was identified during a community outreach visit as a 7th-standard dropout. Financial constraints had prevented him from returning to school. He later enrolled in a Basic Computer course, where he initially struggled with reading and writing. However, he quickly excelled in the practical aspects of computing. Today, Akshai works with Swiggy, earning ₹15,000 per month. He has also enrolled in the SSLC program through the National Institute of Open Schooling. His family is proud of his achievements, and Akshai credits Concerns for helping him transform his life.

Anitha

Anitha, 27, was married at the age of 14 and is now a mother of two. She had to discontinue her education in the 9th standard. With support from Concerns, she enrolled in the Basic Computer course despite facing numerous challenges. Today, she confidently manages her family business accounts and earns ₹30,000 per month. Anitha is grateful for the second chance Concerns gave her and credits the program for helping her regain her confidence and independence.

Elakkiya

Elakkiya, 21, dropped out of high school due to academic struggles. Encouraged by the CHD team, she resumed her education and completed her higher secondary studies. She then enrolled in the Basic Computer course, balancing her studies with a part-time job at a government pharmacy. After successfully completing the course in November 2023, Elakkiya began working full-time at the pharmacy. She now earns ₹10,000 per month and supports her family with pride.

Rehamad

Rehamad, 20, had completed her PUC but was unable to pursue further opportunities due to financial constraints. Through a peer referral, she enrolled in the Basic Computer course. After completing the program, she secured a job as a Sales Executive at M.K. Retail, where she confidently manages billing and customer interactions. Once shy and uncertain, Rehamad has transformed into a self-assured young woman who now encourages others to join the program. She currently earns ₹15,000 per month.

Muthazhagi

Muthazhagi, 19, comes from a low-income family in Coimbatore and was unable to pursue college due to financial challenges. After relocating to Bangalore, she enrolled in the Computer Applications course and successfully completed it in May 2024. She now works as an Office Administrator, earning ₹10,000 per month. Motivated to continue her education, Muthazhagi also refers her peers to Concerns, hoping they too can benefit from similar opportunities.
